Retrosternal goitres – Predictors for sternotomy

      Aim: There are multiple classification systems for retrosternal goitre to guide management, but controversy remains over the most predictive of the need for sternotomy. Assisting surgeons in predicting this ensures availability of cardiothoracic expertise and improves patient consent.
