Introduction: Redo parathyroidectomy for persistent primary hyperparathyroidism (p-PHPT) is associated
with a higher risk of complications and should be planned only in the presence of
convincing localization. This study assessed the ability of 18Fluorocholine PET/CT
(PET-choline) scans to identify parathyroid adenoma(s) in patients with p-PHPT and
negative conventional scans.
